Student representative is one of the main and crucial aspects of our organization. Student Influence Education Committee (SIEC) was created in October 2022 to improve our influence and impact on Mälardalen University (MDU).   
 
The main goal for this committee is to have the opportunity to inform all student representatives about an issue that can be brought up in multiple councils so that we as students can collectively push a certain issue together and have more influence over our education. It is also to improve the insight that the union, students, and program associations have on the university’s student influence process.  

The meeting is for all active student representatives at MDU as well as all the program associations’ head of education. The meetings are held by our vice chairman for education, head of education and head of study environment once a month.  

We strongly believe this committee will act as a platform to collect students’ opinions on university/education issues as well as an opportunity for us at the union to identify injustice or mistreatment towards students at MDU.
