The purpose of the document is to through clear guidelines and goals develop a systematic approach within M\u00e4lardalen&#8217;s University that promotes, strengthens and quality assures student influence within the University. You can read the document in its entirety under the heading &#8220;Policy, goals and rules for student influence at MDU &#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdu.se\/en\/malardalen-university\/student\/study-environment\">here<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h1>Student and doctoral ombud<\/h1>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The student and doctoral ombud is employed by the university. The Student and doctoral ombud has an impartial approach and can help you as a student if you feel that you have been treated unfairly, discriminated against, harassed, or if you have questions regarding rules and rights. The Student and doctoral ombud cooperates with our Head of Education in matters concerning your rights.<\/p>\n<h2>What does the Student- and doctoral ombud do?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Listens to and discusses issues and views related to the university&#8217;s activities.<\/li>\n<li>Provides support and guidance regarding the rights and obligations of students.<\/li>\n<li>Helps students who feel discriminated against.<\/li>\n<li>Guides students who have been reported to the disciplinary committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Discrimination&#8221; style=&#8221;arrow&#8221;]M\u00e4lardalen University shall be free from discrimination and harassment. Therefore, the university works actively to be inclusive and accessible to everyone. If you feel discriminated against or harassed, do not hesitate to contact the responsible teacher or the student ombudsman. You can also talk to the Head of Study Environment at M\u00e4lardalens Student Union.
